From the panhandle to the Keys, Florida has a diversity of options for those with the travel bug. This RV camping guide to some of the top camping spots in the state can help you choose this summer's adventure!

Florida Caverns Campground

Among the top RV parks and campgrounds in the state, Florida Caverns Campground holds an advantage for being the only park in the state that offers tours of underground caverns, which are rare in Florida due to its geological structure. Tours take place Thursday through Monday and are moderately strenuous; however, they offer video tours of the caverns in the visitor center for those less comfortable with exploring the caves. Hint: Bring a light jacket as caves are cooler than above-ground temperatures!

Anastasia State Park Campground

When you want one large Florida campground that has it all, Anastasia State Park Campground in St. Augustine is just the ticket. With 139 camp sites for RVs and tents that all include water and electricity and a communal dump station with free access for the entire park, as long as your rig is under 40 feet, you're made in the shade. Activities include just about everything you could hope for including beaches, surfing, biking, hiking, fishing, canoes & kayaks, playgrounds, wildlife, and historical sites.

Everglades National Park

Designated as a World Heritage Site, at 1.5 million acres Everglades National Park is the largest subtropical habitat in the country. There are plenty of options for learning about and experiencing this rich environment from ranger-led education programs to trams tours, boat tours, and canoe rentals for independent exploration. Electrical hook up for RVs is available by reservation at the Flamingo campsites which you must call to book as the electric option is not yet available for online booking. Hint: Bring bug spray since tropical habitats have tropical insects.

Bahia Honda State Park

Truly one of the most beautiful campgrounds in Florida, Bahia Honda State Park earns their place in any Florida RV camping guide. Located in The Florida Keys, this nature preserve offers a real slice of paradise with two award-winning beaches, kayak rentals, snorkeling tours at John Pennekamp State Park and ocean-side RV sites with electricity and water hook-ups. Park, relax, and day trip to swim with dolphins or visit Key West while you're there!
